A linguist was very proud of his linguistic skills. He visited a king and challenged his court to find out his mother tongue. So each of his ministers asked the linguist his name and place in their own language. Very fluently the linguist answered the
Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Oriya, Gujarathi, Marathi and Hindi ministers. He was so good in each language that they could not find his mother tongue.
Finally the chief minister had an idea. He took the king to the guest room where the linguist was snoring in deep sleep. He hit him hard on the face. The linguist jumped off the bed screaming in his native language, “Who is the nasty fellow who hit me?” So the minister and king could find out the mother tongue of the linguist.
When we are taken unawares, our nature spills out. So don’t be a hypocrite. Develop a good nature.
