039 Fishy Story!
There was a fish stall. A board hung there which said, “FRESH FISH SOLD HERE.”
A man who came to buy fish said, “Will anybody sell rotten fish? Do you have to write FRESH? That word is unnecessary.” So the fish vendor
removed the word and wrote, “FISH SOLD HERE.”
Another customer walked by and seeing the board said, “The smell of your fish reaches my
nose even beyond one kilometer. You don’t have to say FISH SOLD HERE. Everybody knows it.” So the poor man removed the word FISH and now the board read, “SOLD HERE.”
A lady came with her bag to buy fish and looking at the board said, “You are not giving fish for free. Are you? Don’t everybody know fish is sold here?” The man was embarrassed and removed the word SOLD and the board read “HERE.”
A fourth man came. He made fun of the shopkeeper saying, “It is here I know. You don’t have to say that. If you are sitting here with the fish then fish is sold here. What a useless board.” So the shop keeper removed the board and business started to
dwindle.
If you listen to everybody in this world, you will destroy yourself.
