A tortoise lived in a pond. He talked constantly. He could not control his tongue. It was summer time and the pond was drying up. The poor tortoise kept begging his friends to take him to a lake.
At last two storks took pity on him and offered to shift him to a lake. Their plan was to hold the two ends of a stick in their beaks and fly. The tortoise was to hang on the stick by its mouth. The storks warned him sternly never to open his mouth while on the air. The tortoise promised to cooperate.
On the said day the storks started flying with the stick, with the tortoise holding on to the stick with its mouth. The tortoise tried to be quiet but after fifteen minutes, he could not control his tongue. Mid air, he opened his mouth to talk and lo! He fell down with a crash and died.
Talkative people land in trouble. Learn to control your tongue. Think before you talk and talk sensibly.
